Where did my disk space go?

There is a wonderful application in case you need to find the big space thieves on your disk. It gives you an active, clickable image like this:

Where are my ports used?

If you ever loose control of what program that opens what ports you can easily find out what programs that use what ports with the command:

Enable the 64-bit kernel

On Mac OS 10.6, the default boot kernel is the 32-bit one. You may select the 64-bit kernel on a per-reboot-basis by pressing "6" and "4" on your keyboard while booting the Mac. You may also set 64-bit kernel as default for your boot volume by issuing the following command in the terminal:

NOTE: Some software components, such as MacFuse (that for example NTFS-3G depends on), doesn't work under the 64-bit kernel as of today.
